The organisation takes a sincere interest in matters concerning the environment, health and education. Being an active advocate for charitable institutions, as well as supporting special needs children, national education, sport programmes and providing underprivileged citizens with opportunities for a better life.
In 2008, DP World’s UAE Region embraced a major CSR programme, supporting awareness and prevention of Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder. DP World, in cooperation with the Emirates Thalassemia Society and the Dubai Health Authority, is leading an initiative to prevent Thalassemia. through awareness, prevention, blood donation and investment in the Thalassemia centre, DP World supports those currently living with Thalassemia and aids in curbing its prevalence in the UAE.
